Asus declares new Chromebox four with 10th Gen Intel processors

Asus has introduced its new Chromebox four, a mini PC that runs Chrome OS.

Visually, the Chromebox four appears pretty much like its predecessor (the Chromebox 3). Both are black with the Asus emblem inside the middle and the Chrome emblem within the top left nook. It’s additionally the identical size — five.85 x 5.Eighty five x 1.Fifty eight inches — but Asus has made a huge alternate under the hood. Where the Chromebox 3 became powered via 8th Gen Intel processors, the Chromebox four offers 10th Gen Intel processors. Asus says these will deliver “faster, smoother and greater energy-green overall performance.”

The new Chromebox can consist of an Intel Celeron 5205U or one of 3 Intel Core processors: an i3-10110U, an i5-10210U, or an i7-10510U. (Those are 15W TDP).

For different specs, you may configure the Chromebox 4 with 4GB or 8GB of memory (DDR4-SO-DIMM) and up to 256GB of garage (through an M.2 SATA SSD). There are ports galore — inclusive of HDMI 2.0, USB-C three.2 Gen 1 (assisting power transport and DisplayPort), and USB three.2 Gen 2 Type-A — that can assist up to 3 4K presentations straight away. The system supports dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 and includes a fan.
